Dooley-Intermed is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-government, private voluntary organization.Dooley-Intermed is registered with the IRS and the State of New York as Intermed International Inc. d/b/a Dooley Foundation. Our affiliated international extension of the work of Dooley-Intermed is registered in the Canton of Geneva Switzerland as Intermed International, Inc.Dooley-Intermed (Intermed International Inc. d/b/a Dooley Foundation, and Intermed International Inc.) are accredited by the Committee on Volunteer Foreign Aid of The Agency for International Development of the U.S. State Department.

The purpose of Dooley-Intermed is:

To assist underdeveloped countries in the development of their health delivery systems by support for projects related to medical care, disease prevention, health education, medical staff training and the need for equipment and supplies, and to provide medical support and rehabilitation services for refugees.

Background:

The Dooley Foundation was founded and incorporated in the State of California in 1961, and subsequently relocated to the State of New York in 1986. In 1976, Intermed International Inc, our international extension, was registered in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, to facilitate international promotion and support activities. In 2001 the legal name of the corporation was officially modified to Intermed International Inc. d/b/a Dooley Foundation.
